Bargaining Update!
Kroger, along with UFCW Local 1000 officials and the Union Bargaining Committee - made up of rank-and-file members from across the North Texas area and representing a variety of roles throughout our workforce – continue to work towards an agreement that reflects the priorities and concerns of our members. These committee members bring real workplace experience to the table and remain committed to securing a fair contract that benefits the membership as a whole.
The bargaining process is being guided directly by member engagement. The surveys submitted by members, your daily conversations with Union Representatives, discussions with Local leadership, and feedback shared throughout this process have all played a critical role in shaping our proposals and priorities at the bargaining table.
The issues facing our members are being taken seriously. Your Union remains focused on achieving an agreement that protects and advances the interests of all members - not just a select few. We will not settle for an agreement that fails to recognize the value, dedication, and contributions of our workforce.
We appreciate the patience, solidarity, and continued involvement of our membership as negotiations continue. Your engagement strengthens our position and demonstrates the unity of our Union.

Meetings
UFCW Local 1000 takes the challenges that face workers seriously, as well as the opportunity Collective Bargaining presents to address them and improve the lives of the workers we represent. As such and in preparation for bargaining, President Burris & Secretary Treasurer Foley-Howard had meetings with the UFCW International Director of Bargaining and other UFCW Locals in our Region to review research on grocery industry trends in our areas and as well as Kroger's position in the DFW area.
Be on the lookout for bargaining surveys and information regarding the bargaining committee.
